Cowboys and Indians Magazine...

I shot the fall fashion spread for the current October issue of Cowboy's and Indians Magazine. I had a great crew and we had a lot of fun making this all come together. Being from Texas, I guess it's appropriate I do some cowboy fashion... Check out the 12 page spread at any bookstore, Nolan Ryan on the cover.

a love letter for you...

Stephen J. Powers is a New York City artist who at one time wrote graffiti in Philadelphia and New York under the name ESPO ("Exterior Surface Painting Outreach"). Powers painted in daylight, wearing street clothes; he told the New York Times in 1999 that when passerby asked what he was doing he would tell them, "I'm with Exterior Surface Painting Outreach, and I'm cleaning up this gate"; the official-sounding name was enough to ward most people off. Powers targeted shops that appeared to be out of business and grates that were already heavily vandalized, describing his graffiti as a public service.[3] In 1999 he said that he had painted around 70 grates. In 2003, He founded the Dreamland Artist Club and partnered with Creative Time to commission over 45 artists to paint signs and rides in Coney Island.

Love Letter is a project by Stephen Powers with the City of Philadelphia Mural Arts Program and is sponsored by the Pew Center for Arts & Heritage through the Philadelphia Exhibitions Initiative. Check out more of his great murals here.

Amazing iPhone App...

I was looking at a photography magazine yesterday and there was a review on a new iPhone App called DSLR Remote by "onOne", that lets you fire your camera from the iPhone. I was completely intrigued by it, not really cause I have a need for it, but just the fact it can be done! So basically you buy the app, then download some software to your computer, connect your camera to your computer via usb cable then the software creates communication from the camera to the phone through the wifi connection on the computer. It took me maybe 5 minutes to setup and walla! Crazy, if you buy the $20 version of the app instead of the lite $2 version you can have live view mode, and you can basically change any common setting on your camera like f-stop, shutter speed, iso, even white balance from the phone. Both versions give you a preview of images shot within seconds. It's pretty crazy that little iPhone...
